This colonial revival mansion was built in 1905 as the family home of Cornelius Daly, a prominent Northern California business man who, in partnership with his brother John Daly, owned and operated a number of department stores throughout the region. Today the Daly mansion is a beautifully restored bed and breakfast inn that recaptures the charm and elegance of the early 20th century. Located in the Historical District of Eureka which has more than 1500 Victorian homes, more per resident than any other city in the USA, the Cornelius Daly Inn is within walking distance to Eureka's Old Town and our beautiful Victorian Seaport on Humboldt Bay.

A leisurely stroll through Old Town is a pleasant way to spend a day. Our many antique stores, historical buildings, quaint shops, museums, and varied places to eat offer something for everyone. Eureka's people are among the friendliest, most helpful folks you'll ever meet. Can't find that antiques store you're looking for? Just ask a passerby and you'll get directions, if not an escort!

After your day visiting the Old Town area or perhaps taking a self-guided tour of local Victorian homes, it's time to come back to the Inn for late afternoon hors d'oeuvres and wine, tea or coffee, in our parlor with a cracking fire in its fireplace, or in warmer weather at a table on the patio in our beautiful Victorian Garden that has been here since the days of Cornelius Daly and his wife Annie.
